How to Make Your Own DIY Fabric Pinboard

What we love about the DIY trend is that you can make just about anything you ever imagined using this method. And we love the fact that we can make our own DIY fabric pinboards for our offices so that we can keep personal photos, notes and inspiration on hand at any given moment. It makes us a little bit more than just a little happy. In fact, it kind of makes us downright giddy. One of the things that we love the most about the DIY fabric pinboard is that it’s a simple process you can personalize on your own to go with the look, theme and feel of any room in your home or office. You can use it in the kids’ rooms, the kitchen, the office, the family room; anywhere you want. And it’s not difficult at all to make. We have a very simple process you can follow in no time at all to create your own pinboard.

What You Need

Foam insulation sheet

Fabric

Stapler

What To Do

Just take your new foam insulation sheet and cut it into any shape you see fit. You can leave it square if you want, but many people choose to cut little rounded edges out of the sides to make it a little bit more exciting and a little bit more elaborate.

Next, lay the board on a piece of fabric that’s bigger than the board, and wrap the fabric around the board until it is perfectly covered and smooth. You will then use your stapler to staple the fabric to the back of the board so that it stays put and very smooth the entire time. It’s a simple process, and you can do it in no time. Just go ahead and hang it up and use it for your own personal décor.
