A Few Reasons You Should Learn How to Make DIY Headbands

Headbands are a fun way to keep your hair out of your face and to look stylish at the same time. For babies, however, they are a wonderful way of making your little girl look more like a little girl since all that pink on her car seat, stroller, clothes, shoes and blanket clearly don’t give it away. And let’s not even get started on her pierced ears. Headbands are one of the biggest trends for small children right now, especially for newborn babies. With a 9-month-old daughter who is finally starting to grow hair and less like her twin brother, headbands were fun for me to use. But since I am neither creative or crafty (or patient; I’m mostly just not patient) I relied on my darling friend and all of her creativity (and her Etsy shop) to make all of my daughter’s sweet headbands. She has twins just a few days older than mine, so it worked out just fine. But it’s expensive to buy custom headbands for little girls, especially since you just have to have one to go with every outfit she owns. That’s why it’s better to learn how to DIY.

From flowers to bows and everything in between, this sweet video is just a start to teaching you how to create a beautiful headband for your little girl. If this doesn’t convince you that it’s time to make your own custom DIY headbands, we have a few other suggestions that might convince you it’s a good idea. For one, you won’t have to buy them and that will save you a lot of money. Secondly, you can start your own Etsy shop and make a little money being crafty while the kids are napping. Finally, you can always have a sweet gift in hand when you meet with a friend, are invited to a baby shower or when you need a quick gift for someone else.
