A Simple DIY Home Security System Anyone can Handle

Keeping your house safe is a major priority for most people, and that’s why we get home security systems. Of course, not everyone has a home security system in the budget. If you buy a house with one already installed, you can have it activated and pay minimally. If you want to buy one on your own, you could probably install it with minimal effort. However, if you don’t have the funds or desire to install a DIY security system, go ahead and do what many homeowners do; fake it. Believe it or not, many homeowners make the decision to fake their home security systems by doing something you might have heard or, or maybe you have not heard of this super way to ward off the dangers of robbers and those who find breaking and entering a little less awful than the rest of us.

What many people do is buy a security sign for their yard from a security company. For example, for every “ADT” security sign you see in the yards of people in your neighborhood there is one or two who do not actually have security. They have a sign in their yard because that’s what they do to make people think they have security. Put yourself in the place of a burglar. Would you enter a home – or attempt to enter a home – in which the yard was complete with a sign that says there is a security system protecting the premise? The short answer is no. Criminals are stupid, but most of them are not complete idiots and they’d rather not take the chance of robbing a home that may or may not be secured. If you want to do this, however, you’re going to want to ensure that your sign is visible to everyone who comes and goes or it will not be effective.
