3 Summer Cocktails You Should Make

One of my favorite things about summer is by far the delicious and fruity cocktails that come with it. Just an image of a cold margarita with a fresh slice of lime conjures up dreams of days by the pool and barbecues with friends, doesn’t it? Here are three simple and delicious cocktails that will help you enjoy and indulge in your summer months. Make them for your friends to impress and treat them to something tasty, or just brew one up for yourself to sip at while you lounge. The choice is all yours.

Frozen Moscato Lemonade: For this cocktail you’ll need a 3oz bottle of Bubbly Moscato Spumante (Barefoot makes a great one!), 1 oz of lemon juice, 1.5 oz of simple syrup, 1 oz of pomegranate juice and about half a cup of ice. Throw it all in a blender and voila!

Fresca & Wine Cocktail: This one truly sounds divine! For this you’ll need a bottle of wine (white would probably be best), 3 cans of Fresca, and your choice of fruit –strawberries and peaches would be my vote. Combine them all together (you’ll need a large enough container), mix up, and pour.

Pink Grapefruit Margarita: A fruity margarita is always a good idea. For this you’ll need a cup or grapefruit juice, ½ cup of lime juice, 1 cup of triple sec orange liqueur, 1 cup tequila, ice, and kosher salt or sugar for the rim. Mix it all up, add ice, and enjoy! If you’re going to salt/sugar the rim, make sure to do that first before you pour in your other ingredients.

Enjoy your summer cocktails!
