How to Make Green Tea White Hot Chocolate

tea

Tea is good for you, hot chocolate is hot and it’s chocolate and both of those are wonderful, so I fail to see why anyone would not want to make something called green tea white hot chocolate; especially since it has marshmallows in it. Green tea white hot chocolate is actually really good, and it’s a recipe that I recommend everyone learns. Aside from the obvious health benefits of tea and the delicious factor of all things hot chocolate, this is a perfect winter drink. It’s hot, so you feel good sipping on it. It’s delicious, so you feel good drinking it. It’s the kind of drink that makes you want to curl up at the end of a long day with a fluffy blanket, a good book and a nearby fire and sip slowly while you get lost in the pages of a story so well-written you feel you are present in the telling of it. If you’re intrigued, as you should be, I’ll share the recipe with you.

What You Need

1 cup milk

½ cup white chocolate

1 tsp. green tea powder

Put your milk and chocolate in a small sauce pan and put it on the stove on a low setting. You will absolutely want to ensure you stir this mixture frequently and never let it come to a boil. You want the chocolate to melt and you want the mixture to simmer; never boil.

Once the mixture begins to simmer, add your green tea powder and continue stirring the mixture until everything is completely mixed together and smooth. Remove the mixture from the stove, pour it in your favorite tea cup and add some mini marshmallows to the top – or whipped cream if you prefer. Drink it. Enjoy it. Love it. We can assure you that you will.
