Five Delicious Paleo Diet Recipes

The Paleo diet is one of the biggest diet trends of the year. It’s a diet that consists only of eating things that those in the Paleolithic age consumed, which includes meat and other basics. It’s all about eating nothing processed or altered in any way, and at the moment it’s huge. Like all diet trends, this one has its ups and downs, and if you’re in the Paleo mood, you’ll want to learn to make these five simple recipes.

Roasted Cauliflower

This is a simple recipe that really involves just a whole cauliflower. Place an entire head of cauliflower on a baking pan and cover it in extra virgin olive oil. From there, add a teaspoon of each: Curry flower, dried tarragon, sesame seeds. You will then salt and pepper the flower to taste and bake it at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. When it’s done, help yourself.

Summer Stew

All you need for this simple Paleo recipe is a pot, and some decadent ingredients. Pour 32 ounces of chicken stock into a large pot. Add an entire diced white onion and five cloves of chopped garlic to the stock for five minutes on medium heat. Then add six boneless chicken thighs that have been cubed. Turn the heat up to medium high and let everything cook another five minutes. From there, you will add in 3 chopped celery stalks, 3 chopped carrots, 1 green, red and yellow bell pepper, each one diced. You will also add a chopped zucchini, a handful of chopped kale, two tablespoons of ghee, fresh tarragon and fresh oregano as well as one bay leaf, some salt and pepper to taste. You will then turn the heat down so that the stew simmers for one hour before you serve it for dinner.

Summer Salad

Who doesn’t love a fresh summer salad? The answer is no one, which is why this recipe is perfect. Add a bag of mixed greens to a bowl, add 10 shredded Brussels sprouts, a handful of chopped kale, 3 diced carrots, a grapefruit, a half cup of pomegranate, a half cup of blueberries, 3 stalks of chopped celery and an heirloom tomato that’s been diced. You’ll also want to top your salad with slivered almonds. Sprinkle your salad with a little lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and a bit of salt and pepper to taste. Serve it fresh or cool.

Avocado and Bacon Omelet

This is simple. Cook some bacon and get some eggs ready. When it’s time to make your eggs, do it omelet style. Add some minced red onion, fresh cilantro, crumbled bacon and one avocado that’s been sliced and diced, and salt and pepper the omelet to taste. Cook your omelet like you always do and serve it hot.

Paleo Pumpkin Pancakes

Since it’s fall, it only makes sense to add a bit of pumpkin to your menu. Start by mixing a half cup of almond flour with 2 tbsp of coconut flour, a tbsp of flax seed, 2 tbsp vanilla protein powder, a pinch of salt, a half tbsp cinnamon, a teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice, a quarter tsp of baking soda, a half cup of pumpkin puree, ¾ cup of egg whites, 2 tbsp honey and a ½ tsp of vanilla extract. Once you are done with that, add your mix to your pan or griddle and let them cook the same way you would a regular pancake.
