5. Body Butter

  • 1/2 cup shea butter
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 jojoba oil
  • 5-10 drops of essential oil (lavender and peppermint scents are great for this recipe)

Directions:

Put shea better, coconut oil and jojoba oil in a glass bowl in a saucepan that has enough water to touch the bottom of the glass bowl. On medium heat, blend the oils together until they melt. You’ll know when it is ready when the mixture goes semi-clear. Remove from heat and refrigerate the oils for about an hour until it is white and solid. Using a hand mixer, beat the oils until they become fluffy, like the consistency of whipped cream. Add essential oils to it and beat to incorporate into the mix.
