Jogging for a Longer Life

Find a woman who doesn’t want a firmer body and better health and then play the lottery, because your odds of finding that woman are slim to none. Just about every woman alive wants to look better, feel better and live longer. While there are plenty of things you can do to ensure that you have the best possible chance of living the healthiest life possible, there is one activity you can do that will help your body in every aspect: jogging. Dutch researchers recently reported that jogging not only helps you to lose weight, stay firm and stay healthy, it adds approximately six years to a person’s life.

The downside is that not everyone loves to run. Many women view jogging with the same level of excitement as having their wisdom teeth removed without pain medication. Fortunately, you don’t have to be a marathon runner to increase your life span and decrease your waist size. Jogging slowly for approximately two and a half hours per week provides the most benefits to your health. For runners, this is nothing. For those who dislike running, two and a half hours may seem like an eternity; however, when you take that two and  half hours of jogging and break it down over the course of a week, you really only have to jog for just over 21 minutes per day.

Jogging slowly for 21 minutes each day is not much when you consider that it will make you look better, feel better and live longer. To make it easier on those who do not enjoy jogging, there are a few things you can do to make it more enjoyable. If you have a treadmill you can hop on and run while you catch up on your favorite television shows. If you prefer jogging in the great outdoors, load your iPod with fast-paced music to pump you up and get on the move. The key to a successful jog is to keep yourself from becoming too breathless; you want to breathe harder, but any more than that and you are overdoing it. For a better body, a healthier body and a longer life, there is no downside to reserving 21 minutes each day for a quick jog.
