Easy Ways to Turn Cheap Headboards into Chic Headboards

One of the most fun things to do in your home is redecorate. It’s not like remodeling in that you have to live in a mess and make expensive changes to rooms that will require you move everything in and out for days at a time. Redecorating can be as big or as small as you want it to be, which means that you don’t have to spend a lot of money on the process. Many do wonder, on occasion, how it is possible to redecorate a home on a small budget, but we have plenty of answers. One of our favorite ways to redecorate is to head straight to the master bedroom and make a cheap headboard out of something you already have lying around. We hate the misconception that you have to go out and purchase an expensive piece of bedding to make your master bedroom appear a bit more chic and stylish when you can do it yourself for next to nothing. All you need is a box spring and a mattress and you can create your own custom-made headboard for a stylish look.

Go to Pinterest.com and enter the term “pallet headboard” into the search box for a million different ways you can turn that unused pallet into a gorgeous headboard in about 5 minutes. You will love the finished product so much you’ll end up wanting to make one for all the bedrooms in your home.

Tufted Covers

If you have an old, ugly headboard you want to up-cycle, do it by putting some foam on the headboard and then adding fabric over it. Staple in some buttons every foot or so to create that tufted look and then put it back on the bed as a completely new headboard; it’s so easy and so gorgeous.

Cheap Headboards

If you’re looking for cheap headboards to use to make your own custom headboard, go to a local garage sale or consignment shop. There are usually a lot of these around there, and you will find that it is very easy to find one for next to nothing so that you can remodel it yourself.
