Points To Consider When You Purchase A Front Load Washer And Dryer

Purchasing a front load washer and dryer is an up and coming trend in the world of appliances right now.  They are the latest craze.  But are they worth the purchase?  What are some points you should consider before buying a front load washer and dryer?

The Pros Of Buying A Front Load Washer And Dryer

I have to say that I love my front load washer and dryer.  They clean our clothing very well. The washer uses less water to wash the clothes and the clothes come out less wet than when you use a washer with an agitator which cuts your drying time down significantly.  Most front load washer and dryer sets are also energy star which mean that they use electric.  The cost of a front load washer and dryer sets is usually higher than others but when you consider the money you save on water and electric, your front load washer and dryer will pay for themselves in time.

The Cons Of Buying A Front Load Washer And Dryer

One disadvantage of purchasing a front load washer and dryer set is that unless you also purchase shelves to go under them, they set low to floor which means a lot of bending.  If you are a tall person this is a particularly aggravating point.

Another disadvantage of buying the front load washer is that the seal is so airtight your washer will smell if you leave the door closed in between cycles.  Also, if you don’t move your clothes from the washer to the dryer within an hour or so they will take on a musky, unpleasant smell.  One way to prevent this is to buy a washer with a sanitize setting for this problem or run an empty load on hot with bleach.

Hopefully this will make you better equipped to make your decision on if you would like a front load washer and dryer.
