Laundry Stain Cleaning Made Simple

Who doesn’t love laundry, especially when it requires treating stains that seem like they’re never going to come out? Oh, that’s right; no one loves laundry. Especially when you have to treat stains. Unfortunately, you can’t send everything to the dry cleaner (trust me, I’ve tried). Sometimes you have stains to treat when you’re doing your laundry, and it might seem like some things are just meant to go straight to the trash. Before you toss something because it has a stain, use these tricks to help you get them out in no time at all.

Blood

It’s no big secret that blood is difficult to remove from clothing. However, if you have kids, you know that blood happens and it happens a lot on clothing. Before you toss something because you know it’s futile to try and remove it, consider spitting on it. That’s right; your spit can actually remove bloodstains from clothing. If that doesn’t work, try soaking your bloodstained clothes in cold water with a handful of salt to remove the stain.

Ink

Nothing’s worse than seeing an ink stain on your favorite shirt or jacket, knowing it just won’t come out. It actually will – and this trick works on just about any ink stain on any surface. All you have to do is spray it down with hairspray. Let it sit for just a few seconds – don’t let the hair spray dry – and rub it with a wet cloth. The ink should come right out without any issues.

Red Wine

I don’t know what’s worse; staining your clothes with red wine or wasting red wine by spilling. Either way, you probably want the stain out of your clothes. If you have some white wine, toss it atop the red wine stain to remove it. If that doesn’t work, sprinkle salt on it and rinse it immediately.
