Bad Habits That You Need to Get Rid of Now

If you could make your life happier and more productive by eliminating three little habits, would you do it? I think most of us would, which is why these three things need to go. Here’s the thing; when you let little things consume you, little habits that aren’t productive, you are doing yourself a disservice. Even if it seems productive to engage in these bad habits from time to time, the only thing that happens is your own unhappiness.

Whining

Nothing is less attractive than a person who whines. No one wants to be around someone who is constantly whining about the cost of gas, the annoyance of traffic, or the fact that your husband once again forgot to pick his underwear up off the bathroom floor. Everyone deals with these things; and they don’t whine about it. When was the last time whining about your husband’s dirty underwear made them disappear off the bathroom floor?

Blaming

If there is anything that people like less than a whiner, it’s a blamer. It’s far better to admit when something is your fault than it is to blame it on someone else. Everyone knows you are not perfect, and when you manage to blame everything that’s ever gone wrong on someone else, they will catch on. Just take responsibility for your own actions and take the blame when it is due. That doesn’t mean you have to accept blame when something is not your fault; but when it is, own it.

Dwelling

Dwelling on things is a terrible habit to have. You cannot change the past or predict the future, so why do you dwell on it so? What if’s and if only’s don’t make any difference in your life. Not only does it drain you of your own productivity, it’s a habit that turns others off.
