Advice for your Wedding Hair Styles

bride

It’s almost spring, and that means that brides all over the world are beginning to think about their wedding hair styles. As the big day draws near, it’s impossible not to think about the little details. How do you want to wear your hair on your big day? Is this the best shade of lipstick to use on the big day? Do you think that the caterer will make sure that the forks are on the left when making place settings? There are so many things to consider when it comes to your wedding that you might just forget that there is more to do than just think about things. Your hair is one of those things. You have to think about it, act on it and make sure that the style is what you want. Many brides forgo to have their hair ‘trialed’ as the day of their wedding approaches, and this a mistake. We have three other hair mistakes you should avoid before the big day.

Cut a Month in Advance

If you’re going to cut your hair, do it at least a month in advance. In fact, if you’re going to cut it more than just a trim, you might want to wait until after the big day. It’s just hair, and it will grow back, but no before the big day. Do not make any significant changes this close to the big day.

Don’t Color the Week Of

Even if your hair color is one you’ve had forever, don’t color it the week of the wedding. It takes a few washes for the real color to come out and the boldness of new color to fade away, and that might be something you appreciate. Try to keep any color appointments at least 10 days prior to your big day.

Have a Trial

Many people don’t; and that’s a surprise. You should do this so that you know how your hair looks, but also so you know how long you have with this style before it begins to fall or look like it’s not perfect. This will provide you with some much needed information on your wedding day that’s going to make things a lot easier on all involved.
