Lip Gloss Or Lipstick: Which One Is The Best Choice For You?

It’s an age old question for a woman, which lip product is best: lip gloss or lipstick?  Both offer specific benefits and drawbacks to them and the answer all depends on what you are looking for in your lip product.  So which one is best for you?  Some women know precisely which lip product is their choice and some women go back and forth for years, favoring first one then the other in a quest to find the perfect choice for them.  Let’s look at some of the factors that women use to decide if  lip gloss or lipstick is right for them.

Lip gloss is a more moist lip product that can go on with sheer color and gives lots of shine.  This lip product can call attention to your lips by the sheen of the shine that it adds.  You can get lip gloss with a sparkle factor or more of a matte color but there is always a glossiness to the product, hence the name, lip gloss.  It is sometimes said to give a woman a younger look than traditional lipstick.  On the side of the drawbacks to be considered, it is messier than lipstick and wears off easier than a lipstick does.  It isn’t as long wearing as lipstick.  However, your application doesn’t have to be as precise as with lipstick.  These are all factors to think on when considering if you prefer lip gloss or lipstick.

Lipstick is a lip product that is full of color.  While you can get different formulas of lipstick that offer a creamier or drier texture, lipstick is almost always a drier product than lip gloss.  It allows beautiful color application but must be applied more carefully.  Mistakes show more clearly when using lipstick. The question of whether to use lip gloss or lipstick is one that each woman will answer differently.
