Look Chic Even When You’re Running Late

Everyone is bound to face a day in which the alarm doesn’t go off, you’re running late and everything that can go wrong does go wrong. These days aren’t the most fun, obviously, and choosing what can wait and what can’t so that you can get out of the house as close to on time as possible isn’t easy. The kids have to have lunch, you have to brush your teeth and getting dressed in real clothes is a must. Unfortunately, flat ironing your hair and fixing your face tend to fall in the category of things you can skip, but you can give yourself a chic look in minutes and avoid looking unkempt all day long.

Mascara

If you have time for nothing else, mascara is important. Put it on the top and bottom lashes and make sure you get the corners and outsides very well. It will help you achieve a look that’s awake and chic. For an added bonus, toss your shimmery shadow in your handbag and dab it on your brow bone, under your eyes and around the inside corners of your eye when you’re waiting in the drop off line or you have a few seconds in the restroom at work.

Hair

You have to do something with your hair. This is when a chic bun becomes the most important hairstyle you will ever create. Simply tie your hair at the nape of your neck with an elastic band and wrap the hair around the band. Secure it with bobby pins beneath the bun and get going.

Gloss

If you have time for any other makeup other than your mascara on the morning you can’t seem to get out of the house in time, make it lip gloss. A little pinky-peach gloss will help brighten your face and make you look that much more chic and sophisticated on your day of accidental sophistication.
