How to Make a Homemade Hair Mask

Your hair is one of your most noticeable features. Those who don’t know you will see your hair and base a portion of their opinion on you. It also helps to know that what your hair looks like says a lot about you, about whether you care about how you look, what kind of person you are and how much effort you spend on your appearance each morning. For this reason, using a hair mask regularly can help to make your hair healthier, shinier and stronger. Here is a killer at-home recipe that won’t have you spend major bucks at the salon for an over-priced mask treatment.

What You’ll Need

All you need for this hair mask recipe is an egg. That’s right; just one egg. Maybe two if you have very long, very thick hair. If your hair is oily, you will need only the white of your egg. If your hair is dry, you will need just the yolk of your egg. Only use the entire egg if your hair is a normal texture that’s not too dry or too oily.

To Use

Simply apply the type of egg portion you’re using to your dry hair. You don’t want to wet the hair first or it will not work appropriately. You’ll want to get all your strands, being careful not to leave any out so that you don’t miss a bit of the treatment. This allows you to have the most gorgeous hair possible. You will leave this on your hair for 20 minutes. It might help to use a hair cover to keep it from dripping or getting onto your skin.

To Rinse

Do not use hot or warm water to rinse your hair! The egg can cook into your hair if the water is too warm, so be sure to use only cool water to get rid of this mask. Your hair will be instantly shinier and healthier. Use this mask every two weeks for the best possible results.
