The Strangest Celebrity Beauty Secrets You’ll Find Right at Home

Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar; they’re all actresses with several things in common, including the fact that we’ve been watching them on television and in the movies for decades. And there is one thing that we’ve noticed about each of these lovely, and very talented, women; they do not age one bit. They have not aged at all in the past few decades. We’ve been watching Aniston on television and in the movies since the early 90s, and she’s more gorgeous now, more than 20 years later, as she was back then. Witherspoon first came to our attention almost just as long ago in the mid to late-90s and she’s also more beautiful now that she was back then. The same is true of Gellar; and we know that it’s because women like this have a few beauty secrets that might seem weird to us, but that work for them. It might also help that they’re all natural beauties and that they’re clearly aging well. As far as having any work done, I can’t say. Perhaps they have and perhaps they have not; I don’t know. But the truth of the matter is that many celebrities have some seriously strange beauty secrets, and the good news for you and me is that we can find them in our own homes with very little effort.

Beer for Hair

If you want hair like Catherine Zeta Jones (and who doesn’t?) all you have to do is shampoo and then massage a bottle of beer in your hair, let it sit for five minutes and then rinse it out. Of course, you might want to try something that doesn’t have such a potent smell since you will need to walk around the rest of the day. What it does is get rid of the buildup that causes hair to look less that vibrant and perfect, and it actually works.

Markers for Eyeliner

Taylor Swift once found herself in a very difficult situation. She was aboard a flight when she realized she was not carrying any eyeliner with her, so she did what she had to do. She looked for something to use as makeshift eyeliner for a moment. What did she come up with? She came up with the concept of using a marker. She used a sharpie, and she does not recommend that you do that. But there is no reason you could not use something a bit less permanent to do the same.

Spoons for Lash Curling

It’s not really a stretch to say that Miranda Kerr is lovely; beautiful and absolutely stunning. She’s a supermodel that always looks super, no matter how casual she might be or in which activities she might be engaged. She’s lovely, and she looks it. That could be because she has some beauty secrets the rest of us do not know about, but should. For example, she does not use a curler to do her eyelashes. Instead, she uses a spoon to curl her eyelashes for a gorgeous look and bright eyes. Seems inexpensive and doable, right?

Cinnamon for Gorgeous Lips

Lisa Rinna is a huge fan of plumping her pout with a few drops of cinnamon oil in her lip gloss, and it actually works. Of course, she also has larger lips to begin with, something she has said on numerous occasions is a great gift from her doctor, but she also uses this little concoction to plump her pout when she needs to so that she can feel better about her lips. The only thing to consider when doing this, as advised by beauty experts, is that you don’t overdo it with the oil drops in your lip gloss as you could cause a bit of an adverse reaction. Perhaps you might take a few hours to spot test this at home with just a little oil before you go out with lips that are more inflamed than enlarged.

Lip Balm as Highlighter

Miranda Kerr does not stop with just her spoon, either. She actually uses your plain as day lip balm as a shimmery highlighter around her eyes. She states that it does a few great things for her. For one, it keeps her skin looking tight and lovely. Secondly, it makes her skin look as if it’s been highlighted, but it’s not sticky or intrusive. Hmm…this sounds like something worth trying to be honest.

Advil as Blusher or Lip Gloss

Blake Lively once said that her mother is the most amazing when it comes to make-up tips. She states that her mother will actually like an Advil and use it to create a cream powder for her cheeks or a gloss for her lips. Of course, you do want to be careful with this one considering the fact that licking medicine could probably become some sort of strange and dangerous addiction (what? We’ve seen weirder things on television).

Coffee for Cellulite

Ever wonder how Halle Berry looks so amazing even though she’s aging just like the rest of the world (you know, with birthdays and stuff)? We do. And it turns out she blasts her cellulite with a particularly interesting technique that allows her to do some serious coffee drinking at the same time. She mixes her used coffee grounds with her body wash and uses it to fight her cellulite, and she is quite happy to report that it does the trick for her.

Stellotape as Glitter Remover

If you’re a lover of glitter – and who isn’t – you might know that it’s not exactly a cinch to remove. In fact, we take our daughters to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for a princess makeover experience every few months, and it feels like it takes us just as long to remove the glitter from their hair, their bodies, their clothing, our cars, our home, and our showers before each is filled with glitter (fairy dust) once again. But that is all right; because Lady Gaga uses stellotape to remove hers, and it works like a charm.
