Trendy Summer Hairstyles That Give You A Sassy Updo To Wear Today

Summer hairstyles are fun and offer a twist on your normal everyday hairstyle.  Summer seems to make us want to bring on the updos and other styles that celebrate hot weather.

So, what can you do for a sassy summer hairstyle?  It turns out the options are many.  For the new and ever so popular messy bun, you can do this easily.  Start by placing your hair in a ponytail and tease the hair.  Slowly begin winding it around the rubber band in a very loose fashion.  Secure with bobby pins, zigzag side down.

Another popular summer hairstyle is the side ponytail.  Simply gather your hair to one side and secure with a hair elastic.  You can also do the high ponytail which gives you lots of volume and body.  You can achieve this hairstyle by teasing the top of your hair all the way back to your crown.  Spray with hairspray to give it some texture.  Gather the rest of your hair in with the teased portion and place in a high ponytail at the very back of your head about an inch down from the uppermost point.   Leave some slackness in the very top of the hair that you teased so that you can have volume. Be sure to smooth it down without taking the body away.

If you want a classy style for a night out on the town, a french twist is the summer hairstyle you want.  You gather your hair at the back of your head, down at the nape of your neck.  Twist it into a twist and place up the back of your head, gathering hair over it.  Secure with bobby pins.  This is also a style that looks really nice when you add a flower in with it.  A flower can easily be placed into any of these summer hairstyles, as well.
