Reasons It Is Important To Have A Circle Of Girlfriends

It is very important to have a strong circle of girlfriends in your life and there are some very valid reasons why.  Of course we know that it is good to have a circle of girlfriends to have fun with, to laugh with and to have for support in difficult times.  But it actually goes much deeper than that.  A circle of girlfriends can meet some needs that you have that you may not even realize.

You need a circle of girlfriends because your husband can’t and shouldn’t be your whole world.  Men can see this fact easier for themselves and have no problem making buddies to meet their needs for male companionship.  They know that they need friends in their lives that get them on a different level than their wife does.  It is the same thing with women.  Men never will be able to get all of our needs nor will they be able to meet them simple because they are male.  We need fellow women- a circle of girlfriends- that can understand us and are willing to talk with us for hours and hours if that is what we need.  For a man, that is torture.  For a woman, that is bliss.

You need a circle of girlfriends because your children can’t and shouldn’t be your whole world.  Yes, they are important to you.   I am a mother, too and I know there is nothing stronger than a mother’s love.  But your children can’t fill those gaps you need a circle of girlfriends for.  Besides that, they are going to eventually grow up and leave home, whether we want to think about it or not.
