The Odd Life Of Timothy Green is a great movie and is one that both you and your kids can enjoy.   It is difficult as a parent to find a movie that you feel good letting your kids watch that you can watch with them and not be bored to tears.  The Odd Life Of Timothy Green will make you all happy.

First of all, The Odd Life Of Timothy Green is produced by Disney which tells you it is going to be good.  It is the touching story of a couple that has dealt with infertility and so badly want a child of their own.  After receiving the news that it just isn’t going to happen, they are grieving and write down all of their hopes and dreams for the child they will never have and bury it in their garden with the intention of finally moving on.  That night, there is a huge rainstorm and a little boy comes into their home.  He offers no explanation for how he got there but the garden looks very different and he is covered with mud.  And that’s not all.  He calls them Mom and Dad…. and has leaves on his legs.

He is everything they hoped and dreamed of having in their child and they realize he has been sent to them and do not question it.  They start their life in a new pattern, now as parents.  Timothy is unique but finds his place in their families, among their neighborhood and his peers.  But something new is happening to him; his leaves are beginning to fall off just as the leaves are falling off in the trees outdoors.  With each leaf, Timothy gives away a little piece of his heart.
