Fall Fashion Dos and Don’ts

Who doesn’t love fall? The crisp air, the cooler temperatures, and the changing colors make everyone happy and that’s without adding in the fact that it is football season, the holiday season, and the perfect time of year to sit by the fire with a glass of wine. Fall fashion is another great part of this time of year. Boots and skinny jeans and scarves are what we dream about all summer, but sometimes we can make a few mistakes when it comes to fall fashion. Don’t let yourself become a fall fashion victim this year; learn the dos and don’ts of fall fashion.

Do…

Kick up your sweaters a notch. Instead of pairing them with basic jeans and boring boots, try pairing your favorite fall sweaters with glitzy scarves, pretty skirts, and silk pants for an instantly chic update. Keep your colors in the same family to keep from looking like you just grabbed the first two items you saw in your closet.

Wear bright colors all season. Bright oranges, pinks, reds, yellows, and blues are not just for spring and summer. Keep up your sunny outlook by sprucing up your fall favorites. Your LBD and black tights will look great paired with your gorgeous six-inch sapphire blue stilettos.

Don’t…

Wear the same texture from head to toe. Nothing looks like a fashion emergency as much as wearing the same texture all the way from your head to your toes. If you want to wear houndstooth, do it. Just don’t wear houndstooth pants with a houndstooth jacket. Mix it up a bit.

Be afraid to wear a fabulous handbag that doesn’t quite match your ensemble. Pick a classic shape with a bold print or daring design to make you the hottest thing since hot chocolate this cool fall season.
