Transition Your Summer Wardrobe to Fall

Fall is, in my opinion, the best time of the year. Pumpkin patches, sweaters, boots over skinny jeans, the smell of anything pumpkin, cinnamon, or ginger; I could go on and on. Fall is amazing. The cooler temperatures and football season are enough to make me the happiest person around. Did I mention that Starbucks brings back the pumpkin spice latte this time of year? If there is a downfall to fall – pun completely intended – it’s the unpredictable weather. As a Florida girl, I’m used to the hot, hot days and matching nights. However, once fall arrives, it’s downright chilly in the mornings and evenings, and sweltering during the day. It makes getting dressed a situation, which is why these transition from summer to fall fashion tips are so great!

Layers

Don’t put away your light-weight tees and tanks just yet. Put them on and then layer. It’s easy to warm up and cool off if you can remove key pieces. Make your summer tops fall worthy with a shrunken blazer, a feminine cardigan, or a cutoff leather jacket. It’s all fashionable and easy to wear.

Easy Bottoms

It’s hard to layer your pants, if you want me to be honest. When it’s cool part of the day and hot the rest, the only thing you can do is wear light bottom layers. Think tights and dresses, leggings and tunics, and skinny jeans and ballet flats. You’ll look trendy and cute without dying of heat all day long.

Shoes

Flip flops aren’t going to cut it this season, but neither are knee high fur-lined boots. You can go for a great riding boot or a ballet flat. Both are easy to wear, comfortable, and stylish enough to get you through the entire fall season with just about everything you own.
