There is something special about a little girl and her dolls. Even when she’s no longer ‘young’ enough to play dolls without ridicule from her peers, she’s going to love them. She will keep them lovingly beneath her bed or at the top of her closet, packed tightly away with their little treasures. Little girls are sweet as can be with their dolls. Of course, not all dolls get this kind of treatment. Only the best of the best.

These dolls are “The” dolls to have. If you don’t get to make a special trip to the American Girl store to pick out your very own American Girl Doll, you haven’t made it. There’s something so popular about these dolls, and girls adore them.

Barbie

She’s the most popular doll in the world, and she should be. Barbie has been around for, oh, eternity? She’s been a little bit of everything. She’s a doctor, a dentist, an attorney, a princess, a bride and she’s even a big sister. Barbie has it all.

Here’s a doll I just can’t allow my 6-year-old to play with. She’s too mature, too edgy and too everything I don’t want my little girl to become. However, Monster High is everywhere. My daughter has never seen the show and she doesn’t own any Monster High stuff, yet she knows everything about it.

You might think they’re amazingly life-like or completely creepy; there is no in between.
