Five Success Tips for Every Woman

There’s an old saying that behind every great man is a woman telling him what to do. There are plenty of great men in the world, but let’s face it: without his wife/girlfriend, mom, sister or other important female in his life, he probably wouldn’t know where to find his socks when he gets dressed in the morning. Women, on the other hand, tend remember every single detail of every single thing that they encounter. Women are detail oriented, which is probably why there are more and more successful, powerful women rocking high powered positions despite the economy (think Bethenny Frankel). It’s no mystery how they got to these high powered positions; they worked hard and made it happen. Here are a few tips from high powered women that can help you to land your dream job.

Ditch the Plan

Your plan may seem foolproof, but there’s always room for improvement. While you won’t find success without a plan, you have to be flexible. If your plan isn’t working, you have to make changes to it so that it will work.

Get Out of the Office

The most successful women on the planet work hard, but they don’t tie themselves to their desks. They don’t leave work at work and home at home, they take everything everywhere. If you are having a difficult time coming up with new ideas or concepts that will make your dream a reality, get out of the office and inspire yourself.

If You See It, You Believe It

Your mind plays a big role in your reality. You may have the perfect resume, the perfect education and you may be the best person for the job. However, if you think you won’t get it, you probably won’t. Your subconscious thoughts have a way of wrecking your conscious activities: they affect your mood and your behavior, whether you know it or not. When you want something, continuously picture yourself having it and it will make it easier to achieve that goal.

Work Through Your Fear

There is nothing to fear but fear itself. For every mistake, for every lost job, every bad idea and every failure you have taken a big step. That big step was learning that what you were doing wasn’t working and now you are that many steps closer to realizing your dreams. Stop pitying yourself and stop fearing rejection or failure and keep going. Every mistake brings you one step closer to success. Use your fear as motivation, rather than as an excuse.

Say Yes

Stop turning down opportunities because they don’t seem perfect, aren’t your idea of fun or because you are scared to try something new. Say yes to something you normally wouldn’t everyday and see where it gets you. Approaching life and success with a good attitude and the openness to try new things and work beyond your comfort zone is the best way to achieve success.
