Leave Yesterday’s Bad Day Behind and Start Today Fresh

When you have a bad day – as we are all prone to do from time to time – it is occasionally difficult to get up the next morning without feeling a little bit of doom and gloom. Your day was so bad yesterday that you might wake up wondering exactly how bad today could go. It happens. It’s happened to me several times in the past month as any and everything that could go wrong with my six-month-old vehicle has gone wrong (Now might be a good time to tell you that if you’re planning on purchasing a BMW – DON’T!). However, before you let yesterday’s bad day get you down today, let’s fix it.

Get Plenty of Rest

When you have a particularly bad day, you might find yourself telling people that you wish you could go home, crawl into your bed and not wake up again until tomorrow. That’s actually pretty good advice. Go home and go to bed early. The more you sleep, the better you’ll feel in the morning. The better you feel in the morning, the more likely you are to wake up in a good mood.

Prepare for Tomorrow

One way to ensure you wake up feeling great is to actually work hard the day before to ensure your day is relaxing and stress-free. Do you have some deadlines approaching? Get them complete on your bad day so that you have more time to relax and less reason to worry on your good day.

Smile on Purpose

Even if you still wake up in a negative mood, turn it around as soon as possible. Smile on purpose. Even if you don’t feel like smiling for one second; do it anyway. Smile and force yourself to be in a good mood. Studies show that faking a smile can actually cause your mood to improve.
