fun mom

Being a fun mom takes some creativity and a dash of organization. Changing routine ” mom jobs ” by adding a new twist to mundane takes makes life fun for Moms and the family. If you’d like some unique tips on how to be a fun mom, the following  ideas may work for you:

1. Choose one day of the week for special activities

This is one of my favorite how to be a fun mom tips. Instead of longing for the weekend for family fun and pleasant activities, why not choose one day of the week as a special fun day? If mom’s do this, everyone in the family gets a midweek mood lifter that breaks up monotony. Plus, it helps get rid of the ” living for the weekend ” blues. The special day could be used to eat  at favorite restaurants, go to a movie, or even for going on family excursions to roller blade or bowl. The choices are endless.

2. Add variety and fun by shopping at different stores

To add more fun and variety to family shopping trips, moms can try shopping at places that also cater to children. Farmers markets usually have activities for children that are fun, like fields to run around in, train rides, face painting or craft activities. If shopping at a farmers market isn’t an option, kids could be given their own jobs to do while shopping. Maybe little Mary could be in charge of reading off the grocery list. Her brother Tony could be the family accountant and add up the prices of items as mom sets them in the cart. A reward at the end of the day for the kids, makes this idea work even better.

3. Outsource chores so Moms have more time for fun

When Mom feels overwhelmed and stressed out, nobody has any fun. Outsourcing can ease the pressure and give moms more free time to be a fun person themselves. There’s nothing wrong with hiring help for one or two days if possible. Most larger laundry mats have a wash and dry service that will pick up and deliver. Even if it’s just once or twice a month, outsourcing cuts down on feelings of stress and in the end, everyone in the family benefits.

I hope you liked the above how to be a fun mom tips. Do give them a try and they might just work for you, hubby and the kids.
