Signs You Should be Calling it Quits on Twitter

twitter

Twitter is one of the biggest social media platforms on the planet, but it’s not something that’s for everyone. Speaking from personal experience, it’s confusing and not always interesting when you cannot figure out what it is you are doing and how you are doing it. However, millions of people use the site regularly and they do it quite well. The only problem that they have is that they aren’t sure when it’s time to call it quits or when it’s time to continue on with the social media messaging. You get 140 characters to say what you will, and it’s a little bit time-consuming to try and figure that one out; and it’s not for all people. If you’re not sure whether or not you should quit twitter, we have a few signs that will tell you right away that it’s time to quit. If you recognize any of these signs, it’s time to quit “the twitter” as my mother calls it.

You Don’t Have Followers

If you don’t have any followers and you’re not looking to gain any, it’s probably for a good reason. There are so many people in the world happy to follow you but if you’re not making them want to, they won’t. If you don’t have any followers, it’s time to quit.

You Don’t Follow Anyone

Part of the reason so many people rely on social media is to follow people they find interesting. If you’re not following anyone and you have no reason to use the site, it might be time to call it quits. Additionally, if you find yourself unfollowing people at a rapid pace, you’ve lost your patience for the social interaction.

You Haven’t Sent a Tweet in Months

Twitter is all about tweeting. If you’re not sending tweets, you’re not using the platform. Sure, you might send one out every 3 or 4 months, but that’s not enough. You might as well just tweet your own messages goodbye.
