Simple Solutions to Common Wedding Problems

Wedding planning is often fraught with issues you don’t want to think about. However, it’s standard operating procedure for anyone planning an event of this magnitude. Every bride goes through some of the same problems, and believe it or not, there are ways you can alleviate some of the stress and get through the big day without pulling out your hair – something we do not recommend doing in the weeks before your big day, you know, in terms of wedding photos and stuff.

Picky-Eaters

Okay, so not everyone can be classified as a “Picky” eater, but in this situation we’re using it as a general term. If you’re inviting people to your wedding, you have to make accommodations for those with special dietary needs. For example, you might have vegans, vegetarians, diabetics, kosher-only, glucose-free and many other dietary needs in attendance. Unfortunately, you can’t accommodate to everyone’s dietary needs. You can, however, choose two very basic dishes and some very simple sides and hope that everyone will find something they can eat during the reception.

Small Budgets

Not every bride can afford to spend millions on her big day, which is where the problem lies. You have to trim in some places so that you can splurge in others. For example, if you want an amazing photographer, you might have to downsize the décor or even choose a different venue. You can work in some sneaky savings, such as DIY décor and a discount dress to better help you afford what you really want.

Invitation Etiquette

You haven’t met your mom’s college roommate, even though they speak daily. You do not have to invite her to your wedding. Remember – it is your wedding. If your mom wants to foot the bill for her, then let her do it. However, you don’t have to feel obligated to invite those not on your immediate wish list.
