Simple Wedding Planning Advice for Couples

Wedding season is upon us and that means brides and grooms everywhere are finalizing their guest lists and taking care of last minute emergency items before their big day. Since the vast majority of weddings happen in the spring, it seems now is a good time to make sure couples about to walk down the aisle on their wedding day have some invaluable advice and tips that will make their wedding day more memorable and exciting.

Invitations

You don’t have to invite people you don’t know. If you’re scratching your head over whom to and not to invite because you have to trim your guest list, you make it a priority to invite the people you love most, first. You are not obligated to invite people from your mother-in-law’s office you don’t know or your sister-in-law’s new boyfriend of a week’s sister and her kids.

Photographer Matters

If you’re going to splurge on one thing during your wedding, make it the photographer. You’ll never remember a slightly crooked cake, but you will remember the wedding and your big day based on your photos. If you want photos that are perfect and beautiful, you’ll need to hire a photographer that’s both professional and friendly and really good at what he or she does. If there’s one thing couples regret from their wedding day, it’s trying to save money by choosing a less than perfect photographer. This is the place to go above and beyond.

Take it Slow

You might be tempted to rush down the aisle and into the arms of your waiting groom, but take your time. You get to do this one time (hopefully, anyway) and it should be something you take slowly. Savor every second of your walk down the aisle. Look at your groom. Look at your friends and family. Look around. Remember how it feels in the last minutes before you become husband and wife.
