June and September

If you are looking to save money on the cost of your event, these are not the months to choose. The weather is gorgeous during both and that is the primary reason why both months are the most popular for weddings, and therefore; the most expensive months to marry. Everything from your venue to your cake will cost a significant percentage more during these two months than the rest of the year.

February and December

These two months are less expensive, but the problem is finding a venue and vendors during these months. With Valentine’s Day and Christmas, venues are filled with big parties, special events and over-inflated prices on certain items. Try to avoid these two months if you want to find a less challenging time to get married.

January, March, April and November

If you’re looking for a good time to find a good reception venue with availabilities almost anytime and less expensive prices, these are the months to try. There are fewer weddings, not many holidays that require big parties or events that require a venue or reception. You’ll have better prices on everything from food to your cake to your event coordinator. Which month you choose is up to you, but you should consider the weather and the price of traveling during these months as well. For example, March and April are prime time for Spring Breakers, so if you’re looking to get married and take a great honeymoon in the Caribbean, you might need to consider the wild Spring Break parties and groups you might encounter.
