Days You Should Remember When You Travel

Most people love to travel and they want to know how they can do it more. Unfortunately, things like jobs and kids and real life make it impossible for most people to travel as often as they’d like, but that doesn’t mean they never get to travel. Another issue for many travelers is budget; it’s expensive to book airline tickets and plan a vacation. For that reason, you’ll want to learn to save a little money on your next flight so you can travel with more pocket money and less debt. Here’s a little invaluable travel advice by the day.

Saturdays and Sundays

If you want to book the cheapest tickets around, book on the weekend. Do not mistake this for flying on the weekend. In fact, Sunday is the most expensive day to fly. All this means is that you should purchase your airline tickets on a Saturday or Sunday; as in, choose the flight you want and offer up your credit card information to pay for it.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Do your actual flying on these days. Most people don’t want to fly in the middle of the week, but these are the days on which flying is least expensive. Did you know you can save as much as several hundred dollars on a flight if you fly out on Tuesday or Wednesday rather than Monday or Thursday?

Monday

This is the best day to come home. Return flights are often least expensive on Mondays, which means you can book almost a week long vacation if you leave on Tuesday and come home on Monday. You don’t even have to take additional days off work for this trip. Being flexible with your dates and not limiting yourself solely to flying on weekends can save you a significant amount of money on your next flight, which leaves that money for things like hotels, rental cars, and excursions.
