How You Don’t Ever Have to Spend Money on Magazines Again

Time Warner

Do you subscribe to any magazines? It occurred to me a few months ago when a subscription to Cosmopolitan showed up in my mailbox that I don’t spend much time reading magazines. In fact, I don’t spend any time reading magazines. I had no idea where it came from, who paid for it and whether or not it was meant for me despite the fact that my name was clearly listed on the front of the magazine address label. I flipped through it eventually and remembered that I don’t read those magazines for a reason; they were helpful when I was 20 but now they’re too trendy, too silly and not for me. But there are other magazines out there, so let’s not focus the entire world on Cosmo’s best sex positions and how to keep him interested.

The point is this; I now have a Cosmo subscription I don’t particularly want, but that’s free of charge. Where and how and who? I don’t even know, but I do know that if you’re interested in magazines, don’t pay for them. Did you know that you can get them free of charge? You can; and that’s nice since Americans spent more than $4 billion on magazine subscriptions last year. Getting yours free of charge is automatically going to make you just a little smarter than everyone else that’s paying for their subscriptions. Find out how you, too, can earn free magazines.

If you don’t mind reading your magazines on the internet on your computer or mobile device, this might be just the site for you. You will be able to pay one low fee to have as many digital print issues of your favorite magazines mailed to you as possible. This includes magazines you read for advice, magazines you read to get the scoop on your favorite celebs, and even those that are a bit more useful in actual real life. The fee is $9.99 per month, but you get subscriptions to more than just one magazine, which makes the fee completely worth it.

Go to the library

It sounds obvious, and that’s probably because it is. Go to the library. They have things that you can read; books and magazines. Of course, you might find yourself wading through stacks and stacks of old magazines from the early 90s, but you can still get some that are more recent, check them out and enjoy the reading that’s offered through this particular method of free magazine usage. You don’t get to keep them, but how many times do you really read them to begin with? Do yourself a favor and photo copy or screen shot your favorite articles and advice.

Mercury Magazines

This is a company that allows you to choose magazines that focus on your interest or trade. For example, if you have an office that you like to keep decorated and outfitted with magazines that are relevant to your line of work, this company allows you to choose those types of magazines and have them mailed to you free of charge so that you can have them on hand when they are needed. It’s very simple and basic, and it’s something that you can do without much effort. This is particularly fabulous as a resource for medical professionals and IT professionals.

Trade

It’s simple, free and very easy. You just trade magazines with your friends when you are done with them. How about you get a subscription to the one you like the best and your friend gets one to the one she like the best and then you two switch after you’ve read your own each month? You’re still paying for a subscription to something that you’re reading, but you are now getting to read two magazines each month for the low price of one. You’re not responsible for paying for both, so it makes the entire situation seem a bit more profitable and interesting, don’t you think?

Reward Survey

Head to this website and spend five minutes taking some surveys. When you do this, the company will reward you with a free magazine subscription of your choice. There are some very big name magazines that you can choose from here, too, such as Home and Garden and things of that nature. It’s actually a great concept with some very useful and timeless magazines offered. I might just head over here myself and spend a few minutes earning some free mags. It doesn’t take much time, and you can do it in many different names and addresses so that you can earn some free magazines for your loved ones to receive at home, too. Go for it, it’s like a gift that keeps on giving to those you love the most in life.

Get online

Here’s a novel concept for you; most of the magazines that you might pay for offer the same articles and information right on the internet free of charge. That’s right; you can read the articles that you just paid for online for nothing. Go online and see what your magazine of choice has to offer in terms of free articles. Oftentimes it’s the same stuff, more in-depth and detailed stuff and even more fun stuff. Go for it; you won’t regret this.

Online offers

Every so often you will see an online offer that states you can have a free subscription to a magazine if you do something for them. If the site is a reputable one, go for it. You might need to sign up for their email alerts or something completely obsolete such as that to receive the offer, but you’ll still get it and appreciate it. Once you fill it out, you’ll get the emails and a subscription to your favorite magazine. When you see these offers in your inbox or online somewhere, sign up. It usually only takes a few moments, and it’s something that’s worth trying out if you want something free of charge.
