How to Save the Most Money at Lowe’s Black Friday 2014

When you think of stores you want to hit on Black Friday, for the most part, the first one is probably not Lowe’s. The hardware and home improvement store may actually be the most sensible one to go to – and after this you just may need to – but most people aren’t buying hardware and home improvement items for many of their Christmas gift lists. It’s a shame too, as Lowe’s actually has some really impressive deals for their Black Friday sale. However, if you have some time and/or you are due for some home DIY refurbishments, Lowe’s is the place to go. What many people don’t know is that they have their Black Friday deals down. In fact, according to their website, you can sign up via text for exclusive sneak peeks of the year’s best deals, especially for the biggest shopping day of the year! Also, each year weeks before the big day, there’s a 1-page scan preview that “leaks” that shows the store’s whole inventory (sans prices though) so people who are looking for a diverse variety of items can decide based on the list if they will be making Lowe’s one of their Black Friday stops.

Here are some tips on saving money at Lowe’s Black Friday 2014:

Look through their Black Friday ad in advance. Last year’s ad was a whopping 24 pages of incredible deals and savings. From Christmas decor to household appliances to outdoor patio furnishings, Lowe’s offers a great array of Black Friday specials.

Shop early. Last year, the store opened at 5:00am nationwide on Black Friday. To get the best deals, you don’t have to be there exactly at opening, but then again, the early bird catches the worm. If you want to go the online route, you can shop on Lowes.com starting Thanksgiving Day – you can even call!

Stock up on Christmas decor. With Christmas weeks away from Black Friday, it’s the perfect time for people to buy holiday decor at such a ridiculously low price. Last year, Lowe’s was selling Christmas poinsettias for under a dollar and had very many sales that were off the walls!

Make your purchase online. Apparently they have free shipping on qualifying orders online if you buy $19 or more. If you can’t make it into the store physically on Black Friday, you can still save a ton of money by perusing online.
