Three Things You Should Never Pay For

It’s easy to become richer; earn more or spend less. If you’re like me, you’ll quickly learn that you can become even richer than you imagined if you do both. I used to think that having a large disposable income meant I never had to utilize sales and whatnot, but as we began to make more and more money, I began to realize that we could have even more if we spent even less. It’s true, people, many rich people – or financially comfortable people – are cheap; and there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, you can get richer too, by learning what you should never, ever pay for.

Cash

Really, what’s the point of paying for your own money? How many of you are guilty of going to an ATM not owned by your bank and paying several dollars to withdraw money? You should never pay to access your own funds; it’s the stupidest thing you could ever do. Instead, download an app such as ATM Hunter, which will show you the nearest ATM location for your own bank.

Water

Stop spending so much money on bottled water when you can drink from your tap free. You might need a filter, but that is a small investment to have free water forever. Don’t pay for something you can get free, it’s not a smart move.

Entertainment

There are so many different things you can do in your own neighborhood or city that don’t cost a dime and provide endless entertainment. Fall festivals, street fairs, plays in the park, movies in the park, and so many other things are offered free to people in millions of communities all the time. You can pack a bottle of your favorite wine and cheese that goes well with it and enjoy yourself free of charge watching a great movie or play in the park.
