17 – MIKE SCHMIDT
Mike Schmidt made his Major League debut on September 12, 1972 and went on to play his entire 18-season career with the Philadelphia Phillies. He was a three-time National League MVP award winner and a twelve-time All-Star.
The former third baseman acquired a total of 548 home runs during his career and led the National League in home runs hit eight times. Much of his success as a hitter was due to his unusual batting stance.
