14 – RAFAEL PALMEIRO
After being drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1985, Rafael Palmeiro went on to play for the Cubs, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Texas Rangers. The former left fielder and first baseman was a four-time All-Star, three-time Golden Glove winner, and ended his career with 569 home runs and over 3,000 total hits.
Palmeiro’s combination of having over 500 home runs and over 3,000 hits puts him in an elite group only five other baseball players are a member of. Palmeiro also holds the less celebrated distinction of being the player who has played the most total game (2,831) without ever having played in a World Series game.
