How a Citibank Credit Card Can Actually Save You Money

Citibank

Citibank is one of the leading banks in the world, and it’s one of the best in terms of credit cards. What people love about the cards issued by Citibank is the fact that they can be used anywhere. When you apply for a Citibank Visa, you can use it anywhere from the grocery store to the gas station to a hotel when you just have to get away for the weekend. Additionally, cardholders love the fact that Citibank is always looking out for their best interests. This is a card that has a lot to offer cardholders, no matter which of the many you choose to apply for.

While most people do not assume that credit cards are good for saving money, the Citibank credit card can actually help you to save money by offering you a way to spend and save all at the same time. There are several different cards to choose from, but each one offers basic savings incentives that make card ownership a no-brainer.

Rewards

There are so many different reward programs offered by Citibank we can’t even describe them all. However, one of our favorites is the Double Cash Card. This is a card that rewards you twice; when you spend and when you pay. This means you get 1% cash back when you make a purchase and then you get another 1% cash back when you pay that purchase off. How’s that for incentive to help you pay that balance and keep your credit looking good? That’s just one of the many different reward examples that Citibank offers, so there’s something for everyone.

Special Financing

All cards – well, most cards – offer special financing, but none as good as these cards. You’ll get anywhere from 18 to 24 months special financing on new purchases and balance transfers. That’s great news, because it can save you a lot of money. For example, if you’re  paying another card with a high interest rate, you can switch to this card and transfer your balance, saving hundreds (maybe even thousands) in interest fees if you pay the card off before your special financing offer expires.

Airline Miles

There are a few Citibank cards that offer rewards so good you can’t pass them up. Spending $750 in three months to receive 25,000 free airline miles you can redeem on American Airlines? That’s a simple task for a free one-way flight. The benefits are just too good to pass up, and the savings from these rewards are also too good to pass up.
